Grambling State University's Art Department will host "Africana," an exhibition of African art and artifacts from October 8 through November 1, 2008. The exhibition will include sculpture, masks, musical instruments, religious and ceremonial items, textiles, baskets, bowls, and paintings collected by faculty and retired faculty. A collection of West African art will be on display.
A reception will be held following the dedication of a new West African Art collection donated by alumnus, Ira Wayne McConnell Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Dunbar Hall.
