Port City Classic/Labor Day Weekend

The Tigers of GSU and the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech, will play in their first ever football competition on Saturday, September 4th in Shreveport.
Labeled the Port City Classic, the exciting rivalry between the two Lincoln Parish schools will be held at Independance Stadium with a 6 p.m. kickoff time.
Several pre and post game alumni events will be held and announced soon!

HOTEL INFORMATION
The host alumni hotel for the weekend is the Holiday Inn-Holidome which is located at 5555 Financial Plaza Drive just off of I-20 West. To make a reservation, call (318) 688-3000 and ask for the Grambling Alumni Block .
Rooms have been reserved by the Shreveport Alumni Chapter of GSU for all interested alums. The rooms are $84.00 (king or double) per night, $109.00 (one bedroom suite) and $149.00 (two bedroom suite). The applicable taxes will be added. This is the SAME hotel where the CHAPTER will host a hospitality suite on Friday night and a FELLOWSHIP AND VICTORY BREAKFAST on Saturday morning at 9:00.
Rooms have been blocked at two (2) other hotels in the Shreveport-Bossier area for the Classic weekend. They include The Hilton (downtown) in Shreveport and Boom Town Casino Hotel in Bossier.
