Golden Graduates Donate, Celebrate
Members of the GSU (then Grambling College) Class of 1960 celebrated their 50th anniversary reunion May 14-15 at the University. Several events/activities were held for the distinct Golden Graduates. The events included a luncheon where Interim President Frank Pogue delivered the keynote address, campus tour led by Student Government Association President Lamark Hughes, a detailed class meeting and a social-mixer was held for class members and their families. Former and current GSU professors and staff members attended the scheduled events and activities for the reunion participants.
Before the commencement ceremony where the Golden Graduates received their golden certificates, they presented a class gift to the interim university president for scholarship efforts in the college of education. The participating members contributed $5,200.
