TWO CATEGORIES FOR HALL OF FAME - Class of 2009
1) ALUMNI HALL OF FAME
Grambling State University celebrates the accomplishments of exceptional alumni who make substantial and unique contributions to society and the university. These contributions demonstrate outstanding leadership and foresight and are recognized in local, national and or international communities. Alumni are honored for good character and prudence in scholarly activities, research, leadership, volunteerism, philanthropy, and service to the university.
2) ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
A. Student-Athlete
A student-athlete is eligible for nomination after a minimum of 8 years following the graduation of his or her class at
B. Coach or Administrator
A coach or administrator is eligible a minimum of five years following his or her tenure with the University (retirement, death, departure) or in the case of active personnel, having reached the age of 60. The individual must have served the athletic program in some capacity for a minimum of five years.
C. Special Admittance
Special admittance will be made only in recognition of truly exceptional contributions and service to the athletic program at Grambling State University.
General: Current GSU employees do not qualify for induction in the HALL OF FAME until they have retired.
PROCEDURES FOR BOTH:
1. Nomination forms should be completed and submitted via this website no later than June 1, 2010.
2. Nomination forms will be received by the Division of Advancement, c/o Mrs. Glenda Jones, P.O. Box 4204 , Grambling, LA. 71245 (telephone: 318-274-6265).
3. Deadline for nominations is June 1, 2010.
