Dr. Mildred Gallot

Dr. Mildred G. Gallot is a retired professor from Grambling State University, History Department, where she served of Chairperson of the department and taught more than 35 years. In 2007, she was inducted in the GSU Alumni Hall of Fame for outstanding service and commitment to her Alma Mater.

Dr. Gallot was appointed to serve on the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System in 2005 by Governor Blanco. A resident of Grambling, she retired from Grambling State University in 2003 as head of the History Department, after working for the University for forty-four years.

Mildred was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Grambling University Athletic Foundation. She is the author of “A History of Grambling State University,” which is used by the university during its orientation sessions. She is a popular guest speaker, consultant, and active member of her community.
