Murphy Cheatham (GSU '01) featured in Alumni Spotlight
In May 2001, Murphy Cheatman earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Grambling State University while serving as Polemarch (President) of the Gamma Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and President of the Earl Lester Cole Honors College. After receiving his degree, Murphy moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he gained experience as a financial analyst and senior accountant for various real estate firms.

At present, Murphy manages the Adecco Groups' staffing real estate portfolio;he has represented the City of DeSoto and various private entities in the acquisition and development of real estate leveraging public and private equity and debt, in addition to several illustrious personal endeavors. 
Dr. Ashlee Spearman (GSU '06) Named director of Quality Enhancement Plan for Austin Peay State University
Dr. Ashlee Spearman received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Grambling State University in 2006 and a Masters of Business Administration in 2010 from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. In 2015, she earned a Doctorate of Education from Lipscomb University.

Dr. Ashlee Spearman, previously served Austin Peay State University as the director of student transitions. She was recently named director of Quality Enhancement Plan. (QEP) The QEP is a requirement for accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
TJ McCord (GSU '10) founder of QuikFits

TJ McCord, received a Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy from Grambling State University in 2010. During his time at GSU, TJ was a four-year starter on the Tiger football team. He received HBCU All-American Honors in 2009. After college, TJ continued his football career, playing three years in the UFL and AFL leagues.

Currently, TJ serves as the Varsity Defensive Back Coach at McGill Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Alabama. After being certified through the International Sports Science Association, TJ founded QuikFits in 2014. QuikFits is a company that specializes in Performance Enhancement. It is designed to meet the needs of athletes who desire to change their lifestyle and overall physical performance through physique and strength training, toning, weight loss, muscle gain, core conditioning, cardiovascular endurance, balance and flexibility.

Cornelius Walker (GSU '10) Named Running Backs Coach at Morehouse
Cornelius Walker received his bachelor's degree in Business Management from GSU in 2010. He played four years as a running back for the Tigers and was a member of their 2008 Black College National Championship Team. He was a Two-time All SWAC Football Team Player. While at Grambling, Cornelius was also the recipient of the 2008 Best Running Back Award, 2010 Perseverance Award and the 2011 Peach of an Athlete Role Model Award.

Cornelius’ passion for football coupled with his playing and professional experience led him to interning with the Strength and Conditioning Program at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA. His interest in coaching encouraged him to pursue coaching opportunities eventually leading him to Morehouse College where he is serving in his first year as Running Backs Coach

Dr. Lestavia Duplantier (GSU) therapeutic optometrist and franchise owner of Pearle Vision in Houston, TX
Dr. Lestavia Duplantier earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Grambling State University. She received her Doctorate from The New England College of Optometry, Boston, MA in 1999. She received additional training at Omni Eye Clinic in Atlanta, GA and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Special emphasis was placed on co-management of cataract surgeries, glaucoma care and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Duplantier is a therapeutic optometrist and franchise owner of Pearle Vision in Houston, TX. Dr. Duplantier is also married and the proud mother of two children.
William Bryant, Jr. (GSU '96) offers his expertise in fund development to GSU.

William Bryant, Jr. earned his Marketing degree from Grambling State University in 1996. He also holds an MBA in Nonprofit Administration from Oglethorpe University. Currently, William is a Performance Coach/External Consultant for the National Office of the Boy Scouts of America. William is a Subject Matter Expert in Fund Development. With more than 15 years of experience, William has raised over $20 million through annual giving, special events and endowments. 

Mr. Bryant recently spent a day on campus offering his expertise in fund development to several members of the University’s Senior Leadership Team.
